What do I think about blogging? And do I want to become a blogger?
There are a couple of blogs out there which I love - they give me daily inspiration. I am not confining myself to any special field. I love Garance Dores as much as I love Stu Maschwitz` thoughts on the new forms of cinema.
But they are both specialists. They know what they are talking about. They work in a very special field and share their insights. That is great. And generous. And smart. And makes them known. And hired. And liked.
But I never read any blogs about just the daily life, and thoughts of every Tom, Dick and Harry. Not even if I would know Harry personally. Oh I would love to watch Harry or Dick or Tom dealing daily with their smaller and bigger problems believe me - but I am not really interested in their polished or customized self-portrayal. Maybe it is really a cultural thing.
And as long as I don`t have any extraordinary skills, don`t move to the moon and am not really specialised in a certain field I don`t consider it necessary to start a blog. I better continue to tell my little sucess stories and mishaps to friends an family - they have to listen because they know and like me.
I felt they way as you do now. I wanted to start a blog but never could due to lack of .... subject? When I decided to be an exchange student at the FHV I had to keep a blog for my scholarship.
AntwortenLöschenNow i'm happy I did/do keep a blog, it's so much fun to read back the stories! The stories seem to have a personal feeling attached to it, which is nice to get back to once in a while.
When i'm back home in Juli I doubt I will keep the blog going, since I feel I have nothing 'special' to blog about.. or maybe we have to try harder in finding the special in things.
